It seeks to hold 50 percent stake in the portfolio company. The fund typically holds its investments for a period of five years. It invests in shares or securities including loans with a five year or greater maturity period. It invests alongside selected partners with experience in the sectors concerned. Other than the loan stock issued by the fund, portfolio companies do not normally have external borrowings.
