Brookfield Properties Corporation is a privately owned real estate investment firm. The firm engages in the ownership, development, and management of premier commercial properties and also invests in core-plus office buildings. Brookfield Properties was founded in 1923 and is based in New York, New York with an additional office in Toronto, Canada. As of March 31, 2014, Brookfield Office Properties Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Brookfield Property Partners L.P.
