The fund invests in other exchange-traded funds managed by BlackRock Canada that provide 100% equity exposure including Canadian equities, US equities, international developed market equities and emerging market equities. Primarily the underlying equity funds will employ some type of ESG-oriented investment strategy, which results in a very broad spectrum approach to ESG investing. Some funds may take a socially responsible investing approach where securities are selected by investor values and certain businesses are excluded. Funds may also include an impact investing approach in which security selection is based on those that seek to generate a social or environmental impact. The ESG-oriented approach or ESG investment philosophies may change over time. The fund will rebalance exposure annually.
