The fund employs a value strategy and invests, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in common and preferred stocks of small capitalization (small cap) companies. The adviser defines small cap companies as those whose market capitalization, at the time of purchase, are consistent with the market capitalizations of companies in the Russell 2000® Value Index.
